The Dark Road (2023) was a series of drawings I began on my first residency to Burren College of Art, in Ballyvaughan Ireland. It was very challenging on many levels, and was extremely valuable to prove to myself that I could work harder than ever.
What started as a complete unknown adventure, manifested, over the course of those 3 months, and then over the rest of that year, into a multimedia installation, that included:
– an album of sound art – DAIMONO – INSOMNIAC
– a graphic narrative – TERMINAL FOOL 2
– several videos/ animations
– 40 original Ink drawings
– 5 hand painted muslin wall hangings
– improvisational live musical performance with musical collaborator Shawn McCann (Lung, bullfrog Symphony, Spongeboy).
The Dark Road Installation was exhibited at the Quigley Gallery, Western Colorado University, Gunnison, CO, Oct – Nov 2023.
